Friends & Family Test - Feedback

As you may know the NHS has rolled out a new Friends & Family Test which allows patients to give their feedback regarding their most recent NHS experience.

 

In August we received 3 completed cards with the following comments:-

"Dr Yoong excellent dr, very patient and understanding, very good" - we have all enjoyed working with Dr Yoong whilst she has been helping us cover some maternity leave.

"No problems with the service" - we are always happy to hear this!

"Usually wait too long for an appointment. Struggle with Family Planning clinics due to how busy they are" - we are aware of the shortfalls of our appointments system and are always looking at ways to improve this. We are not directly responsible for the Family Planning Clinics as these are run by a team from the Sexual Health Team. There are Family Planning/Sexual Health clinics every night during the week in various locations around Salford.

Only one of the patients would be likely to recommend us, with another a "dont know" and an "neither likely nor unlikely" comment

In September we received 6 completed cards:-

"Would help to have patients names and room numbers in lights for hard of hearing people like myself" - we have looked at this suggestion in the past and I will certainly mention it in our PPG meeting next month

"I see Maureen (Nurse) on a monthly basis and she will go that extra mile to ensure that my visit has been relaxed and very professional" - what a lovely compliment thank you - I will ensure this gets passed onto Maureen!

"Nurse very informative and answered all my questions" - I will make sure the nurses are informed

"1. I have been ignored , 2. Attitude of Dr Yoong very bad , 3. I did refuse to see her on her call" - we were aware of this patients complaints on the day and they were sorted out and they did see a GP

"All doctors are very easy to approach, staff very obliging and you can choose if you want male/female doctor" - thanks for that & we have 2 male & 3 female GPs (when we have a full complement of staff in!)

Of the 6 cards we had 2 "extremely likely" to recommend us, 2 "Likely" and one "Extremely unlikely".
